3.7 REST Manager Locking Up For Anyone?
Anyone else getting it locking up?
I love the new speed of the manager, but every now and then it stops responding (IE8). Only answer is to quit session.
Brand new site with only about 6 cached base maps, two GeoRSS and two dynamic map services... nothing much done yet.

Yeah. I'm now using firefox and no problem too.
Even these forums before like a dog with ie8. It is our standard departmental browser here.... better than what we had only 4 months ago, ie6!!!.

Spoke too soon... just crashed while doing site save in Firefox... the Site Saving dialog just doesn't dissappear. It does get saved though.

I've had it freeze up a few times trying to apply changes or save the site. IE8.

Using IE8 is probably your first problem. I have always found it to run the manager much slower than firefox or chrome. I have not had any issues with IE 9. I am surprised that there are people still using IE 6.

IE6 actually runs the manager faster than IE8 (3.5.1)

Hi All,
We are looking into this issue but we might need some help to reproduce it. We've got information about specific browsers that have the problem. There are a couple other things we'd like to know.
- Is the web browser using a large amount of CPU when it locks up?
- Is the application making repeated web requests (you'll probably need to turn on Fiddler to see this)?
- It there a particular page in Manager that causes this?
Thanks,

I suspect it's server side.
The reason being is I can close the browser and restart it and the manager will still be locked up. It also affects the silverlight independently causing a timeout on loading.
There is no cpu usage on the browser (firefox).
Fiddler shows a number of http://serverapi.arcgisonline.com/veadaptor/production/services/imagery/getmetadata?token=AgVDz8nWTajvniTYa8fShp20ltkhFTnyK6jSP9eNKS586ro-CFeoIY-VGr2aAZCU&style=AerialWithLabels&culture=en-US&callback=dojo.io.script.jsonp_dojoIoScript16._jsonpCallback requests with a number of 407 errors.

I just had lock up on the above 407 errors when using an Apply Changes on the Layer Themes page, but it happens on Map page Apply Changes also. It eventually just unlocked as I'm typing this (I'm in IE8 typing this, but using the manager in firefox), but it took a couple of minutes.

Hi all,
We will have a GoTo meeting with the guys today and check CPU and also requests and record the meeting. Will post to the ftp once ready.
Cheers
