Disable Form Items - is it possible?

Hi all,

I am just wondering if there is a way to conditionally disable a particular Form Item on a Display Form? For example, depending on the value the user selected from a drop down list, the text box beneath it is greyed out preventing selection from the user.

Is this possible? Or any workaround for it?

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated!

  Hi Alex,

       What you are asking is not currently doable in Forms. It is however something I have on the list of future features.

       I would like to expose a client side event model that would allow for exactly what you are talking about. The selection changed event of the drop down would fire, at which point you would be able to set the read only state of the desired textbox depending on the value selected.

      Not timeline on this feature is available right now.

  P.S. As a workaround right now, you could do something with more than one form and have the workflow conditionally choose the next form depending on the selection of the drop down. It's not super elegant, but it's functional.
