Release Drawing Tool > Edit ?

Quick Question: 

I use the drawing polygon tool to draw a polygon.

I use the edit tool to modify my polygon shape.

How do I accept and release the edit tool?  (I tried double clicking the mouse by that doesn't work. )

  Hi Kenneth,

  If you click on a tool again after you are finished using it it will release and go back to panning.

  I think I'm missing something...

  I reshaped the polygon using the Task ---> Edit Drawing and then clicked on the edit drawing tool again...but no luck.  The polygon reverts back to it's original shape.

  I tried it on your demo site and same thing.  No luck.

  Myself and end users have had problems with this as well. It is not very intuitive I believe I posted about this as well a month or two ago. It should simply save the polygon edit when you double click. I think one of our users said that if you click inside the polygon it completes the drawing.

  Thx Nick..you are right!

  For polygons you have to click inside the polygon to accept the change

  For lines you have click close to the line near the location of the last vertice change

  For points...just move the point and the move is accepted.

  For text, you can move the text to another location fairly easily...but I can't seem to edit the text or rotate the text.  I thought I did it before.

  Maybe this behavior could be changed?  The current one is not easy to figure out; I had to go to the forum to find a way to make this work.  After the edits, it should save the polygon edit when you double click.

  I think we are talking about the behavior of the Silverlight viewer here, not the core product.

  But I agree, the process for saving edits to markup is not very intuitive. It would be great to make it more so, but at the very least, the current behavior should be clearly documented in User Help.

  I agree, the methods to save markup edits are very far from intuitive and should be improved.
