Cumlative point identify (hold down shift to add to results hold down control to add to the selection set?)

Being able to point identify non-neighbouring features and add them to results window without losing your previous set of results would be nice.

For example, using the point identify tool to pick a bunch of non-neighbouring parcels one at a time and add them to the results window.  When I try to do this, I lose my previous results.
