Cant complete install of Geocortex Essentials 3.9 unable to run Production Server?

When you removed the previous version, did you also remove the local windows accounts, IIS app pools and virtual directories created from the 3.5 version? Look for and remove the Essentials and EssentialsAdmin accounts which should be local on the system before running the post-installer. Typically we recommend in-situ upgrades, not uninstall/reinstall.

Thanks for your prompt reply. As per your response I removed the local windows accounts (Essentials and EssentialsAdmin) and IIS Application pools EssentialsAdministrationAppPool3 and
EssentialsAppPool3 and I am now able to get the post installer running. The reason for the full uninstall was to reconfigure the server otherwise I would have run the update.Thanks John
