    Hi.

How do I add a workflow to the "I want to.."-menu?

    Hi Rene,

There is a step-by-step description in chapter 9.2 of the HTML5 Administratore And Developer Guide (Viewer v. 1.1). I succeeded to implement a workflow in the menu using this description.

Also keep in mind Dan's note that in a future release the management pack will be heavily improved for the HTML5 viewer, to avoid a lot of the config file editing, that is nessecary at the moment.

    Thank you, Sune.

    That solved my problem.

This is what the guide tell's you to do, in plain text:

To add a command to run a workflow:

    1. In Notepad, or another text editor, open the Desktop.json.js file (or any of the other device configuration files).

     -  For the location of the configuration files, see Appendix A: File Locations and URLs on page 86.

    2. Locate "moduleName": "IWantToMenu" in the configuration file.

    3. Copy one of the "Items" including the { } on either side and paste in the order you want the items to appear in the I Want To menu.

    4. Change any of the following:

     -  iconUri: Insert the URI to the image you want to display beside the Workflow item.

     -  text: Type the text you want to appear on the I Want To menu for this Workflow.

     -  description: Type a few sentences that describe the Workflow and what it does.

     -  command: Replace the command with "RunWorkflowById" which is the command to execute a workflow.

     -  commandParameter: Type in the ID of the Workflow that you want to the command to run.

    5. Save the file

    6. Test

Dan, you mentioned above: We are planing to enhance Management pack in REST Manager to include configuration facilities for HTML5 Viewer in the near future.

Does this mean we will no longer need to go into the json files?  If we will still need to go into the json files, is there a master that I could go into and change, so that all new sites will inherit my preferred settings?

Any info on when the management pack update will be released?

We're hard at work on version 1.2 of the viewer which will ship with a Management Pack that allows you to edit desktop, tablet, and handheld HTML5 viewers.

We are aiming for a release before the end of the year.

In 1.2.1 the I want to... menu is missing the triangle ? indicating that it's a drop down menu.  I guess I can add it in myself but I just thought I mention it.
