GE install location

Greetings, all. My organization has just purchased Geocortex Essentials, and I am currently trying to determine the best place to install it. My first thought was to install it on our ArcGIS Server machine since it meets all of the recommended requirements, and we have a single server system currently. However, I know that GE doesn't have to reside on the same machine. Does anyone have any insight on pros and cons of having GE on the same machine as ArcGIS Server?
