Refresh Datalink? (or field alias problem) (GE3.11 / SL1.6)

Hi to all

I have a workflow that searches for user specified features and returns those features.

Unfortunately the datalinks to those features are not currently running. If I do an identify on one of the features then the datalinks run correctly.

Is there any way in a workflow to check that the datalinks are executing?

One issue that may be coming in to play here is that the field that is the external join field is aliased. It would seem that the alias name is observed when the identify is done but not when the Select Features Activity is used. The aliasing is done in ArcSDE as part of the table definition. As a consequence I am not aliasing the field in the MXD (published to Server 10.1)

The field also has it's display name adjusted as well in the REST manager because it is coming through to the REST manager as the unaliased name!

If this is the problem then it is a bit unhelpful to have the alias observed when doing an identify but not by other means

  Hi C

  if I recall correctly one of the more recent versions of the SLV 1.7.1 had a fix for this being bug GVS-2683

  My recommendation is moving up to a more recent version than 3.11 & 1.6
