IE8
Hi, I realize that IE 8 and lower aren't HTML5 browsers. However, the viewer isn't loading at all. Is there a workaround for this?
Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,
Is there any more info you can give us other than that the viewer doesn't load?
Most browsers have developer tools that can be activated either in the toolbar or by using F12. Developer tools have a console tab that displays errors and other information related to scripts running on the page. There may be some useful information in here.

When using the developer tools in IE if the Document Mode is set to IE8 Standards the viewer fails to load.
The HTML view stops at:
<body onunload="">
<div class="shell-large" data-region-adapter="geocortex.framework.ui.MultiDivRegionAdapter" data-region-name="ApplicationRegion"></div>
And the console view shows the error:
TypeError: Unable to get value of the property 'id': object is null or undefined

Ok. I figured it out. The custom HTML5 Viewer module was causing the issue. I removed it and it now works in IE8.

I was just about to ask if you had done some customization or written any custom modules. Glad you figured it out!
