"Search for map features" text box

Is there anyway I can get rid of the "Search for map features" text box in the viewer banner?

  Susan,

  If you are using the Silverlight viewer you can remove the global search field from the banner by going to the All Modules tab of the Viewer configuration in REST Manager and deselecting the GlobalSearch checkbox.
