Selection in workflow
How do I get the selected features from a workflow to inherit the feature labels and feature descriptions configured within the rest site? When my selection is returned, all I see are the display fields from the published map service. When my selection is performed, I'd like to be able to view the results as are presented when I use an identify operation, however with my selection, that configuration is lost.
I suspect this may be because the Geocortex Essentials installation is using the full server name with its domain, whereas the map services and everything in my workflow is referring to the shortened form of the server name. However internal users are not able to use the site or run the workflow if the full server name is used. Essentials itself seems to want to use the full server name for its installation.
How do I deal with this issue?
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,
This is almost always due to incorrectly configuring the map service id and layer id in the SelectFeatures activity in your workflow.
Please see the following Knowledge Base Article for more information: https://support.geocortex.com/resolve-missing-configuration-for-features-selected-from-a-workflow

Hi Victoria
Thanks for your response. I have checked the map service ID and layer ID and these are both set correctly throughout the workflows.
What's strange is that the workflow's tool works sometimes but not every time. Sometimes it takes a long time to return a result if it's the first time using it that day, or after a period of no users on the site. When performing searches, often it does return just the 'Parcel:' without the feature labels and feature descriptions, then it'd come up a bit later on when running the search a second time.
Because the problem is intermittent I'm thinking that it's either a bug in Essentials or a querk to do with using or not using the fully qualified server name in the URLs for the REST endpoints.
