Set zoom scale

Hi

is it possible to zoom to a featureset using a map scale?

Currently, I'm using GetFeatureSetMapExent  then SetMapExent.  I'd rather have the SetMapExtent using a map scale.  It would be nice to have the SetMapExtent using a map scale that is the same as the Feature Zoom Scale set in Essentials Manager.

  Or how does one control the setMapExtent taking into consideration you want the outcome to have a certain map scale?

  Kenneth,  Did you have any success setting the extent to a map scale?  I am currently facing the same problem.

  No..I haven't been able to set the map extent to a map scale.

  I should mention you can use the zoomtoscale to set the scale of the map.

  so

  • Select Features
  • GetFeaturesSetExtent to get envelope
  • Set Map extent using envelope......This will zoom to your featureset
  • Run zoomtoscale to desired scale.

  My workflow will zoom close onto the selected parcels and then zoom back out to the specified map scale.
