Getting selected feature from a result list or table

I would like to be able to select a feature from a resultslist or table and run a workflow for that selected feature. I found this link for Silverlight viewer http://support.geocortex.com/helper-activities-for-working-with-result-sets-in-the-silverlight-viewer .  Is there any similar functionality for HTML5 to accomplish this?
