sendmail not working

Just getting together a SendMail and I'm getting "Failure sending mail".   

I know the server works, we use it with Optimizer.  Telnetting it on port 25 tells me it's a Microsoft ESMTP Mail Service version 6.0.

It usually doesn't require authentication....

Anyone had any trouble or tricks to getting it working?

  I was having problems using port 25, so I switch to port 587 and now it works fine.

  I'm not using authentication either and EnableSSL is set to False, don't know if that makes a differnce or not.
