Pan, pinch to zoom stop working Android
Using a S3 and chrome browser. The html 5 application works at the beginning. After using the zoom, and pinch to zoom, and the gps geolocate, the map is no longer responsive to these commands.
When the map stops working the pan, zoom, and pinch to zoom no longer work, but the search and zoom still work. Has anybody come across this problem. We are using Essentials 3.14, and html 5 viewer 1.2.
I don't seem to come across these problems on the ipads and iphones.

Hi Brian, A few people have run into this. It appears to be a problem with Esri's JavaScript API. The good news is that this issue appears to be fixed in the latest version of the API (v. 3.5). You could try using this API with your Viewer to see if this resolves the issue for you by following the instructions Jason provides in (https://support.geocortex.com/EssentialsGSCForum?sub-nav=forum&main-nav=Essentials&feedtype=SINGLE_QUESTION_SEARCH_RESULT&id=9066000000008eDAAQ) this thread . We are still testing v. 3.5 with the 1.3 Viewer (the 1.2 Viewer is using v. 3.3), so I can't yet say with absolute confidence that you won't run into other issues with 3.5, but it's worked well for me so far, and it's easy to roll back your changes if you run into trouble. Note that we did run into problems with Esri's 3.4 JavaScript API, which is why we didn't use it in 1.2. So I'd definitely avoid that version. 0 -
I downloaded 3.5 and put it on my server. The init.js file looks much different than the 3.3 version. Do you know by chance what stuff I would have to change to host it on my server. On the 3.3 version I only had to change the location of dojo path in the init.js file. But the version 3.5 looks more complicated.

Never mind. I ran across the install.html page and got it worked out. Still need to test. I will post my result after testing.

Hi Brian,
We've been testing this here at Latitude and we can confirm that upgrding to the Esri's 3.5 Javascript API does resolve the issue (which was restricted to Android devices and the Chrome browser).
The upcoming Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 (1.3) now works beautifully on my Android in Chrome.

I changed the jsapi/arcgis/?v=3.5 in Handheld.html cleared my cache on a HTC merge with Android version 2.3.4 and I still can not Pinch to Zoom in. I tested the Android version (using the User Agent - Android 2.3 - Nexus S) in Chome on my desktop with fiddler running. I still saw the jsapi/arcgis/?v-3.3 coming across with fiddler, so then I changed the jsapi/arcgis/?v=3.5 in the index.html and in fiddler now I see the jsapi/arcgis/3.5/js/esri/css/esri.css info.
After clearing my cache on the HTC Merge I still can not do the Pinch to Zoom.
Anything else I can try.

Unfortunately, Android 2.X does not support the pinch in/pinch out gestures, as there was concern at the time that it would infringe on Apple's patents.

It is working after referencing the 3.5 library.

I had the pinch-zoom function depart my Android in Chrome as well. Referencing the 3.5 library broke some of my workflows that use the CaptureGeometry activity. See (http://support.geocortex.com/SupportForums/Thread.aspx?pageid=0&mid=2&ItemID=20&thread=52400) this thread . I noticed that when I changed it back to 3.3, the pinch-zoom function was back (probably unrelated) as well as my workflows.
