Workflow Interface to Trimble GPS Devices?

Hello all, I'm curious to find out whether anyone has developed an interface to any of the newer Trimble GPS handheld devices, such that a workflow could grab the current geolocation from the device? We're wanting to do this specifically in an HTML5 Viewer application, but Silverlight would be an option if it can't be done in HTML5.
