Buffer "Outside Only" of Polygon Geometry

Sorry to all if this has been addressed, but I have searched and couldn't find anything on topic.

Part of a workflow I created involves buffering a parcel.  However, I want that buffer to be on the outside of the parcel only.  It seems by default it buffers from the centroid.

Is there any processing command to buffer the specified distance outside of the parcel?     Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Thanks so much for your help.  

  Initially, I didn't realize I was still buffering off of the address point that I was joining to the Parcel, however the DIfference task is crucial for me as I prefer the cleaner look to it.
