Security - late login

Would it be possible to set up a viewer/site to allow for late logins?  In other words a user can open the viewer and get a "default" configuation but can't access certain secure items until they login?  We have some viewers where 90% of the content does not need to be secure and staff just want to bring the viewer up quickly to reference something without having to login each time.
