how to convert dataitem list to ilist<string>

i need to get the values from my dataitem list into an ilist.  is there an easy way to convert dataitems in a dataitem list  to strings?

if so how?

  You can try to put the dataitemlist  as the "Input Data" for Listbox in the "DisplayForm".
