Adding shapefile

Hello,

I want to add a shapefile to the map and then grab the geometries from it. I see that I can use the RunExternalCommand with "OpenShapefileDialog", but it seems to work asyncronousely. I was then thinking of using ListenForExternalEvent and CollectExternalEventArgs to see if I can capture when the shapefile was added, but I do not know what to listen for. Does anybody have the event I need to listen for or is there a better way of doing this?
