Raster Catalog Filter?
A review of old Geocortex (http://blog.geocortex.com/2010/10/06/geocortex-essentials-2-4-released/) Blog Posts and previous Geocortex Essentials (http://www.geocortex.com/product-release/release-notes/geocortex-essentials-3-4-1-release-notes.pdf) release notes indicates that the Geocortex Essentials Web ADF Framework had a very nicely developed set of Raster Catalog Filter tools:
- Raster Catalog Filter
- Layers representing a raster catalog allow the user to manage individual images within the raster catalog. Users can toggle the visibility of individual images on the map.
- Display images from a raster catalog layer which intersect a set of selected features.
- Display images from a raster catalog layer which intersect a user-defined shape (point, line, polygon, rectangle) or that intersect the visible extent.
- Raster images are still represented within a single layer in the layer list which can be toggled on or off all at once
The current raster catalog functionality with the REST framework appears to cover the functions 1) and 4), but I have not seen that there is anything nearly as developed as the functionality described in items 2) and 3). For example, even the Silverlight Viewer "Query" and "Advanced Query" modules, which would seem like would cover some of the functionality appear to be incompatible with Raster Catalog map services altogether. Is there any plan to either add in a full set of Raster Catalog Filter tools or to make the Query/AdvancedQuery modules compatible with Raster Catalogs in the future? If not, can anyone confirm if this functionality can in theory be scripted through workflow designer? Or are there some inherent limitations in working with Raster Catalogs outside of the WebADF framework?
