I'm hoping for 2 answers:

1. How can I change the default text in the search box from Search... to Enter Address?

2. The image below shows the search box displaying the field name instead of the display name for the layer.  It would be super great to change that to honour the display name.  Possible?/customer/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=00P6000000eltsPEAQ

  Hello Rebecca,

   

  I can solve the first problem for you.

  On the machine you installed Geocortex Essentials and your viewer on, navigate to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Html5Viewer\Resources\Locales . In this directory there should be a file named Mapping.en-US.json.js . If you open that file in your favorite text editor (I suggest Sublime Text :) ) and search for the words "language-search-placeholder", you will find the location we populate the default text for the search bar. After that it is as simple as changing the word "Search..." to "Enter Address" and saving the file.

  Rebecca,

  Unfortunately I'm having the same issue with the search box, in terms of your second problem. The search results still do not respect aliasing from your map service or the name you give it in the Geocortex Manager. Hopefully, this is resolved in the future.

  Is there a way to configure the search bar placeholder text for a single viewer instead of for all viewers?
