Dynamic Service Icon - 4.2 BUG??

After upgrading to the newest version of essentials 4.2 the dynamic services icons have disappeared.  Is there a setting I have to turn on somewhere? This feature is really important to us as we have set up certain icon for services which then correspond to the service layers. Our employee’s say this really help them when identifying feature. An example is when someone identifies a water main they know right away it belongs to the water map service and not the infrastructure map service because of the matching icons.
