Is there a way to use a "Invalid/Broken Links" option in the Feature Description

Is there a way to emulate the "Invalid/Broken Links" option in the Feature Hyperlinks section using html, JavaScript, CSS, etc.? I have some fields/photos I'm displaying on the Details tab when you select a feature. If there is nothing in that field or no photo for a specific feature I would like to hide the reference to it and move things up to take it's place.
