ordering multiple maptips?

Is there a way to order display sequence of multiple map tips? For example, a click on my map brings out map tips for both a point layer and a polygon layer. Is there a way to make the point's map tip always show ontopof the polygon's?

  I'm interested in knowing this as well. Except, perhaps more generically.

   

  It looks like it's controlled by the order of layers in the layerlist. Those at the bottom of the layerlist show first. But why? I'd like to be able to control this in a future release, if possible.
