Initial Extent in shared map

It seems as though if you share a map using the Share tool the initial extent should be set to the extent that you shared the map from. So when the person opens the map and uses the Initial View button it would take them to the extent of the map when they first opened it. I realize that programmatically this might be difficult. Is it doable?

  The extent command is available as a URL Parameter in the HTML5 viewer (e.g. http://server.domain.com/vwr/Index.html?

   

  extent=1441172.484,550015.006,1456136.010,537754.744). However, the extent is not generated by the stock Share Tool. 

   

  It is very doable but would require a bit of mucking around with geocortex.essentialsHtmlViewer.mapping.modules.share.ShareModule.
