edit records in related table
I have create a relationship class for a related table in sde. i can add records to this table in the html5 viewer. how do i then edit those records, such as modify values in the fields, delete the related record, etc. Has anyone edited related records in the out of the box html5 viewer?
is that coming in the new release at the end of the month or so?

Jeff,
My understanding is that coming out in the next version. However, you could write a workflow that can do it. Create a workflow that allows user to select the related feature, load in attributes, save any edits.
We generally do this anyways, because it allows much tighter control of what values the users can put into the attributes and we can grab other attributes without user input (e.g. intersecting features, post-processing, coordinates [lat/lon, state plane, utm, usng], user credentials, etc.). Drawback is that it doesn't work offline.

I stand corrected. Nice work Rebecca! 0 -
We are able to edit related records using the out of the box option... in Essentials 4.4.2 and HTML5 2.5.1. However, I am unable to edit a relate of a relate. It shows up as something to be edited, but stalls with "Checking for related features..."
Dev tools error: Error in generating related layer object for creation: TypeError: Cannot read property 'getRelatedFeatureLayer' of undefined
Any ideas? We can clearly use workflows to solve all of this, but we are trying to convey a proof of concept to sell to managers that we have this out of the box option.0 -
I’m trying this in the GE 4.7 with GVH 2.8 (beta) but I’m still not able to edit records in related table

Hi Jamal,
To make your related table editable, your table must be registered as version. Please make sure that you add the table as a feature class.
