Get Current User activity returns different credentials (GE 4.4.3)

We've upgraded to GE 4.4.3 and have workflows which use the Get Current User activity. These used to get "DEPCON\jdoe" as the Username output (GE 4.2.1). After the upgrade we're seeing the Username output being recorded as "John Doe (jdoe@depcon.internal (To: jdoe@depcon.internal) mailto:jdoe@depcon.internal)". Is there a way to change the configuration of what's being returned from the Get Current User activity? We're using Windows Integrated security.

  did you ever get an answer to this question?  I just ran into the same thing yesterday when trying to test a workflow that needs to pass current user credentials to a query task.

  The DOMAIN\username format will appear in one of the values in the "Claims" output of the Get Current User activity. The information is there, it is just a little awkward to get at.

   

  In Essentials 4.5 the Get Current User activity has a new "Windows Account Name" output argument that provides the usrename in the DOMAIN\username format if the user signed in with Windows.
