How do I set the opacity of temporary markup for a Buffer?
Essentials 4.5.0 HTML5 2.6.0
I can't find any configuration settings, viewer commands or workflow activity properties that allow me to set the transparency/opactiy of the temporary markup for a Buffer.
Does anyone know how I can do this? I'm sure it's simple, but I'm not seeing anything that refers to how to do this.
Thanks!

I've been having LG work on a Workflow for me that does this. It is part of a larger workflow to let users choose from a variety of mailing labels (address point and parcel polygon based), giving them the ability to alter their selection at various stages. It also allows for the printing of a map to go along with it, or to do separately. I'm thinking of adding the ability to have the user do the selecting of what it looks like, but right now we are doing it in the workflow, which you can see below - I would think you could add the 26 (makes 15% transparant) to the beginning of the ff8000 for the border color, like was done for the fill:

Thanks, Mike. Those settings work fine for the Highlight fill and border colors, and I use them all the time. But they don't control the fill and border colors for Temporary Markup, which is what the Buffer graphic is using. Right now, the Temporary Markup for Buffers is a semi-transparent red and I can't find the css or JavaScript that dictates that. 0 -
Sean, we just had some more work done, and part of that lets users choose buffer color and transparency. Check out the site below and try the last option in the "I want to..." menu.

Hi Mike,
I would like to change the temporary markup fill and border colour also as part of one of my workflows - so can you share the 'RunExternalCommand' for these? Or does your buffer workflow just use a highlight layer and the RunExternalCommand(s) you have already listed in your previous post? Can't see anything equivalent in the Markup section of the HTML5 SDK doco.

They are using a different technique, something to do with creating a catelog, and then loading it. I will post the code when it is done, but if you want it now, send me an email - mhargreaves@srcity.org (To: mhargreaves@srcity.org) mailto:mhargreaves@srcity.org 0 -
Did anyone figure out how to change the temporary markup's colors? 0 -
I would expect this could be done by modifying the (e.g.) polygonFillColor setting for (e.g.) the defaultPolygonMarkup in the Markup module. 0
