Buffer options not selecting any features

Hi all,

 

I am trying to use teh buffer tool, which is available in the List view and table view but when Iselect "Show buffer options", give a distance, the buffer is drawn but no features are selected.

Is there an option i am missing?

 

I am using GE 4.40 and HTML Viewer 2.5.0

  Might be worth upgrading to current version...  Somehow it looks like the identifiable layers have been cleared...
