Are there a maximum amount of identify results from a service?
I using the latest version of the HTML5 viewer and am having trouble selecting an area that has about 3000 parcels. My viewer and essentials manager crashes every time.
So far, the largest selection that I have been able to make was 1459 parcels.
My service we have published should return up to 10000 records.
Thank you in advance for any help on this one.
Best,
Aaron

Are you using the standard identify rectangle tool? I just tested my viewer using Chrome and buffer identify and was able to identify 6,876 parcels. After testing multiple times, the viewer did eventually crash.
Side note: that seems like a very heavy task for a web GIS to perform. What's the reason behind having to make parcel selections so large?0 -
John, thank you for the test on your end. Good to know it is possible. Out of curiosity, how is your map service published? Are points or polygons being queried?
I am just testing to make sure I can make queries that large. We could be querying with geometries large enough to return ~3000 parcels at a time.

I agree with John that this is a pretty heavy load for a web-based system. We generally find that the number of records returned greatly depends on the complexity of the feature. We can return far more point features than polygonal. However, I think this has more to do with browser limitations than anything. 0 -
The search result I tested was against parcel polygons. The map service is published through our ArcGIS for Server 10.3.1 using the ArcGIS Web Adaptor on a Windows 2012 Server. 0
