    Hi Adam,

Can you run Fiddler and see what request is causing the 403 error?  The 403 error is not likely being thrown by the Desktop.json.js file itself but one of the requests it is making.

    Regards,

I am getting this same error, but status 500. This is immediately after running 4.5.1 upgrade.

A 500 error indicates a problem with either the site or the Essentials instance itself. Given that it's happened right after an upgrade, I suspect that something went wrong during that upgrade, which would mean that any of your sites would yield the same error. Depending on the underlying issue, the fix might be as easy as restarting IIS, or it may require more troubleshooting. If a restart of IIS doesn't resolve this for you, I would get in touch with (To: support@latitudegeo.com) our support team.
