Identity Server Login Issue

We are having some issues enabling Security for one of our sites. We have Geocortex Identity Server enabled, and have created a user.

 

 

Under Permissions in Manager, we have enabled the Idenity Server user access to the entire site.

 

 

But when trying to launch the site, we get a Windows Security log in prompt...

 

 

No matter when we try, we cant seem to get any other prompt besides this one...Any ideas?

  Good morning Lisa,

   

  If you have the Windows Integrated provider disabled, but are still seeing a Windows popup, that likely means that the popup is being served up from IIS, not from Essentials.  I would have a look at the phweb.co.kern.ca.us server (which may be either your Essentials server or a separate reverse proxy server) and look at the authentication settings.  Make sure that Anonymous access is enabled.  Windows Authentication can be enabled or disabled.

  Hi Danny, I dont know what I did but that sign in has stopped popping up. But I am still unable to enable security on my site. Ultimately what I am looking to do is create a login and password so only one person can view the data in the map. I have Anonymous and Identity Server enabled, and created a role and user. In Permissions, for Anonymous Access-Guest, I've disabled all the layers in the map except the base map layer, so when the site is opened for an anonymous user, all they see is the basemap. In Permissions, for Identity Server - User, I"ve enabled all the layers that were disabled for an anonymous guest.

   

  

   

  WHen I launch the map, the maps loads as expected, only displaying the base map. When I go to sign in, I dont get a sign in prompt and the map goes to a white screen with 'Sign Out' in the top right corner...I"m missing something...

  Hi Lisa,

   

  I'm not sure why you're seeing just a plain white screen.  One thing you can try is to set allow permissions on the site level for your identity server user (IE the first entry in the tree in that screenshot you posted).

   

  If you're still having trouble, please open a case so we can have a look.
