    Hi John,

Are you just deleting all the files in the IIS log file directory? We are having server space issues too and I noticed there's about 4 GB in that folder. The log files are all dated within the last 2 months.

They are safe to delete, assuming your agency doesn't have a specific retention policy for them. IIS log files aren't required for anything and are typically only used for diagnosis.  We typically won't keep more than a month's worth, and that is for 'just in case'.  They can get quite large if you have strict logging levels and your web server gets a lot of traffic, as they typically record every request.  Our servers host Geocortex and ArcGIS web adaptors, so the logs fill up fast.

We're retaining the last 90 days of log files simply because doing so is keeping our file space healthy. I'm in the same boat as Dan using one server for Geocortex and ArcGIS for Server, so we currently have 16.4 of 100 GB free.

We have some scripts that read and record some usage information from our log files (how many people viewed each of our geocortex apps daily), but after that we aren't actively using them. We're hanging onto them in a "just in case" scenario.
