secured workflows and visibility in I want to list

I have secured workflows that are listed in the I Want To menu. Depending on role, these workflows used to be greyed out if they were denied to certain roles. In the HTML5 viewer, they appear as all other workflows and they just don't respond when a denied user tries to run them. Is there a way to remove/grey out the workflows by logged in user/role?

  Quick answer is no.

   

  Originally our workaround was to check the user role in the Workflow and either run the workflow if they were authorized or display an Alert and let them know they were not authorized. This works fine but you have to manage the roles in each workflow. We got a little tired of that so we wrote an module that can do that and posted it on Github (https://github.com/DigitalDataServices/GeocortexMenuComponents) . You use this in a startup workflow but it allows you to manage what is enabled/disabled in the Toolbar, I Want To and Results Menus all in a single workflow.
