Where are the project files saved in Geocortex Essential HTML5? How can I migrate saved project files from my environment to another?

  Hi Dibya,

   

  Saved projects in GVH end up in Elastic Search and cannot be moved between instances or servers very easily.  There is a feature request (GVH-11087) to add this capability but there is no implementation date set (if it is implemented at all).

  Thanks Wayne. I hope it will come soon. Specially if our server needs to be upgraded, we don't want to loose all the user saved project information.

  @Wayne, can we use a term facet query to view the data? Is there any documentation into structure of the index being used in Elastic Search?

  @Tom, I am trying to find out.  I suspect that due to security reasons it won't be that easy.

  Where on the server is this located?  I only have file access to the C drive and not remote acces so I can't go to localhost.  

   

  Also do these projects have an expiration date?  If not, I want to set one on the file location to make sure it gets cleaned up every now and then.

  They are documents stored inside of Elastic Search, you won't see them as individual files.  They do not have expiration dates.  In Essentials, under the "Security & Data" tab at the top of the page, you can view the Data Store - Documents page and manually delete saved projects but you currently cannot schedule them to be automatically deleted.  It would need to be done manually via a calendar reminder or something similar.
