How do I search the support ceter for an issue by tracking number provided by Latitude to see what the progress is on the issue? Specifically, I'm looking for any info on GE-6174.

  Hi Rebecca,

   

  You can search for bugs a number of ways:

   

  1) In the support center, plug the Bug ID into the search box, and if it's mentioned in a forum post, or a KB article, you will see it in the results.

   

  2) You can check the latest release notes in the Downloads section to see if the issue has been fixed in the latest version or not.

   

  3) You can email support, or post in the forums, if you cannot find what you are looking for.

   

  In regards to GE-6174, the bug is currently open in our bug tracker, but has not yet been added to a target release.

  Thanks Danny. I thought maybe there was a page that had a list of bugs and the progress on them.

  Hi Rebecca. I've just discussed this issue (GE-6174: the ability to override the editable state of fields) with the Essentials team lead and I'm afraid it doesn't look good. While it could be done, the overhead of having to create and manage our own metadata for each field in a given layer would degrade performance significantly for all but the most modest of services.

   

  For the larger question of where to find the progress on issues here on the Support Center, that's something I'm working on improving. In the meantime, if you can't find the info you're looking for, please feel free to ask.
