Geocortex Core fails to startup on Bootup

This sudeenly just started happening on Thursday on both our LIVE production server and our QA server. We can see the events in the event viewer showing that Geocortex Core failed to start due to  a "timeout of 30000 milliseconds was reached". We have no idea why this has started happening.

 

It seems that it can be manually fixed by rebooting the server, (which doesn't help), and then doing an IISReset... which seems to fix the problem. Any advice appreciated.

  Hi Janet,

   

  Just to clarify.  The server runs for a while and then you see the timeout message in the event viewer?  Can you post the contents of the event or maybe a screen shot or copy of the event itself?  Or are you saying that after a reboot it fails and then you restart again and run IISReset?  In the latter case you can try editing the porperties of the Geocortex Core Service to Automatic (Delayed Start) and that might be all you need to do.  If that does not help have a close look at what is running during the startup of the server by running the msconfig command.
