Hello,

 

I am trying to configure security so that all are denied access except for a small group of people. From my research it looks like Deny permissions always override Allow. Is there a way to get around this functionality?

  Hello Stephanie,

   

  Yes, you can flip this around by making a manual edit to the site.xml file for the site that you want this to apply to.  In the site.xml, looks for the permissions element, and edit it to include "Precedence="AllowBeforeDeny"", as follows: <Permissions Inherit="True" Precedence="AllowBeforeDeny"> Make sure to back up your site.xml file, and close the site in Essentials Manager before making this change.
