Is there a way to grab the current map scale setting?

I've tried the "GetMapInfo" activity, but it returns the map scale and not the current scale setting. I need to get the map's current scale setting. We are using tiled base maps. Is there an activity that can access the current scale setting value? Is there a way to get it with a custom script using the script activity?

  Nevermind. The GetMapInfo is actually returning the correct value I need.
