Have Permissions "Precedence="AllowBeforeDeny"" persist through site updates
We are setting up perissions and found that the current "deny overrules allow" setup didn't work for us. So in the site.xml, we updated the permissions with the "Precedence="AllowBeforeDeny"" attribute to make allow overrule deny.
However; we found that whenever we made changes and saved the site, the Precedence attribute would dissapear from the site.xml making deny overrule allow again. Is there anyway to make that attribute persist when the site is updated?

I don't have an answer, but wanted to thank you for proving to me that I was not going insane. I kept changing the precedence and then it would "randomly" revert back. I now know that it is every time you make a change to the site. Well, that's silly. At least I now know what the heck is going on. Thanks! 0 -
The Precedence attribute is preserved when you load/save sites.
Are you editing the Site.xml file while you have the site open in Manager? This will definitely overwrite any manual XML changes.

Nope. I just tested again, just to be sure. I changed the prcedence level in the site.xml with Manager closed. I closed the site.xml, opened Manager, made a change, re-opened the site.xml and the precedence level reverted back to Inherit="False" 0 -
@Shana, we can't seem to replicate this. Could you please provide a snippet of your XML before and after the save? Thanks,

Hello,
Is there any way to deny site access to all users, then apply allow permissions to users you want to grant site access to?
the settings seem backwards to me. Is there an option for "allow before deny" for an entire site?
Thank you0 -
