Layer Catalog Identify
Tiled map layers added to the HTML5 viewer via the Layer Catalog are not showing up on the identifiable layers list and no results are returned when using the identify tool, even if identify is enabled on the layer in the Layer Catalog site. Is this a bug or are Layer Catalog tiled layers not fully functional? If they cannot be identified, that will drastically alter how we were planning to roll out our HTML5 viewer. We are on GE 4.6/HTML5 2.7.
Also, does anyone know if instant seach configurations carry over when a layer is added?

Hi Melissa -
We have Layer Catalog set up, and the identify, map taps etc. are working correctly. For us the layer catalog-added layers function just as layers in the site itself.
You still need to configure map tips the same way (using the Feature Description box to show whatever attributes/links you want in your results) in the layer catalog site, in addition to checking the 'Allow Identify Operations' and 'Show Map Tips' options.
That should be all you need to do.

Hi Melissa,
Thank you for pointing out the issue. We are able to reproduce it. The issue is reported as a bug (GVH-12157). Also, the instant search doesn't work with user-added layer though the layer catalog, which has been reported as a known imporovement (GE-8387). However, I am not aware of the plan for these fixes.
Thanks Allen for checking.

I missed that it was specifically tiled layers that were the issue... 0 -
I am experiencing this exact same issue, except I am not using Tiled map layers. Is the bug mentioned (GVH-12157) specifically iwth Tiled Map Layers? If so, are there any tips you can offer as to why this may be happening in my Layer Catalog / Production Site?

GVH-12157 is specific to tiled layers, yes. I can't speculate as to why you'd be seeing this with dynamic services; I would recommend getting in touch with our (To: support@latitudegeo.com) support team so they can have a look and gather more specifics. 0 -
Quick follow-up: contrary to my last comment, GVH-12157 ended up applying to both cached and dynamic services. This issue is fixed in Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 2.8, which should be generally available in a few weeks. 0
