Setting up Integrated Windows Authentication
I've gone through the installation and administrator guides trying to figure out what we are missing.
We are using GE 4.2.0 and when users do not have admin access to the server, they cannot log into the GE Manager. I'm thinking it's something simple in terms of roles, but need a few prompts as to where to look.
We have GE running on Windows Server 2012R2. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Eric,
If you fire up the Essentials post installer and select the Configure Sign-In Options, you'll see the group used by Manager to define Essentials administrators. By default, BUILTIN\Administrators is used, which allows anyone who is a local administrator of that server to log into Manager:
_img_ alt=""Configure Sign-In Options" step in the Essentials Post-Installer." src="https://latitudegeo--c.na53.content.force.com/servlet/rtaImage?eid=90760000000PDQo&feoid=Body&refid=0EM60000000HT7s" _/_img_
If, within your Active Directory, you have a group called EssentialsAdmins, you can specify that instead:
_img_ alt="Specifying a different Essentials administrator group (i.e., the users who are permitted to log into Manager) in the Post-Installer." src="https://latitudegeo--c.na53.content.force.com/servlet/rtaImage?eid=90760000000PDQo&feoid=Body&refid=0EM60000000HT7x" _/_img_
Note that I get a red 'X' on this dialogue because the post installer can't find my fictional entry within Active Directory.0 -
That was the solution, thank you. 0
