Markup: Allow additional styles and symbols to be configured for markup tools (GVH-12337)
Per this community post.
The markup styles that are provided out-of-the-box and the color/size variations that can be configured are limited. Some users would like to be able to have custom images in their markup tools (eg, standard Emergency Management point symbols) or more options for polygon fills (eg, hatching).

I want better text formatting options. The other suggestions are also very attractive! 0 -
The Silvelight viewer gave the user the possibillity to select color and line width. We have usere commenting of this lack of functionality in the HTML viewer. 0 -
Our users need to add polygons with no fill. We would like to see that as an option out of the box. 0 -
In GCE 471/Html5 2.8.2, I see that the Mark-up style options have been vastly increased – GREAT! ……however, users being users are never fully satisfied…..
In particular, re drawing styles for POLYGONS .....clicking the 'Customize' button, users get to a panel where they can select ‘Fill Styles” …..HOWEVER;- ‘Colour’ selection only applies to a solid fill ….and not to the lines of any cross-hatch options (ie. users would like to be able to change this from the default of black)
- they cannot SAVE a custom style (ie. users would like to be able to SAVE their customised style change)

Would be good if you could add your own esri .style file. We have created our own emergency management styles, the ability to make these an available option would be very handy. 0 -
@Stephanie Widas : you can set the fill colour to fully transpatrant 0 -
Other options I'd like to see :
- Markup text with multi-line
- Markup text with surrounding box
- Markup "callout" box with custom HTML and {tokens} from DataLink queries
1. select a point (above an asset on the map),
2. drag a small line
3. a Callout markup is drawn with a rectangle and some text pre-formatted from a custom query (DataLink)

I echo @Greg Dunmill in asking for configurible hatch fill colour choices for markup. 0 -
Our users would really like multi line text functionality back. 0 -
The lack of multi line text functionality is a major frustration for many of my users. We are still running Silverlight viewers to meet this requirement. 0
