Portal Groups and GE Permission Issues

As Administrator I created two groups in Portal and assigned denied permissions too various layers.  I do know that GE over denies rather then under denies.  Given I am the creator of the groups in Portal I am the admin of that group and subsequently am denied those layers even though I am in another group called "admins" that should have access to everything.

 

My workaround was to then create a "non Active Directory Admin".  I then added that user to these 2 groups in Portal, and then assigned ownership of that group to this "non Active Directory Admin".  I then deleted my "real Active Directory Admin" account from.  Portal reflects that I cannot see anything in this group.  Ok great!

 

However when launching the HTML5 viewer in Geocortex with my "real Active Directory Admin" account these layers still do not show.

  Something got stuck in the cache of Microsoft Edge.  I jumped to Chrome and it showed up.  Cleared the cache on Edge and it showed up.  Never saw a cache issues with GE so maybe Portal was doing something?
