Delete an object w. simple relationship class (one to many)
Hi all,
I have a polygon feature class with two simple relationship classes (one point feature class and one table; both are one to many). When I need to delete a polygon, the error message pops up: 'This feature is related to others and cannot be deleted until the related records are deleted.'
The polygon can be deleted if I deleted related point/record first, but the reason I chose to create a simple relationship is that original and destination objects can exist independently of each other.
I tried deleting the same polygon using ArcGIS web app and it worked as expected. i.e. polygon is deleted; point feature left w. key field = null; table record left w. key field = null.
Does anyone else experience the same thing with HTML5?

Hello Chen-Ting,
I can confirm that everything you've described behaves this way on my end as well. Some users and data models would want feature deletion to work this way, but I think you've made a good case for why it wouldn't make sense for the simple relationship class that you have configured. I've filed this internally so that we can take a closer look at it. The tracking number is GVH-13097 and I have added you as a stakeholder. If you would like to help improve the visibility of the issue, I would also recommend posting this in the (https://support.geocortex.com/GSCIdeas?c=09a6000000008RsAAI&filter=1&categ=all&sub-nav=ideas&main-nav=essentials&page=1) Ideas section so that other users can vote for it as well.
I hope this helps,

Thanks Amanda. I've added this to the idea section.
