Using Identify Window on Empty Layers Throws Error
We have layers in our viewer that may or may not have data in them as they are updated every few minutes and are tied to our AVL feeds. When we use the 'Find Data on Map' under the 'I Want To' menu and draw a rectangle/window over items, we get the following error if there is no data in layers that are turned on:
The requested operation failed. Try again later, or inform your application administrator of the problem.
Any suggestions on how to disable this error? A unique error pops up for each empty layer. Example, if there are 3 empty layers, the user has to click the 'ok' button 3 times to continue.
We're using GE 4.6.2, HMTL5 2.7.1 with ArcServer 10.4.1 REST services.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,
You shouldn't see an error pop up due to an absence of data. Do you see any errors in your browser's console? F12 brings up the browser's developer tools, where the console can be found. If you look at the viewer's requests and their responses (e.g., in Fiddler), does the server send any errors as part of the response for these layers?0
