    Hi Liviu,

Using local filepaths in hyperlinks was never fully supported with our software so that fact that it worked, I think was just a happy coincidence. However, if you do wish to continue referencing a local file and exposing that on your viewer, you can place your PDFs in the viewer's virtual directory like this:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\Sites\LA_County\Viewers\LA_County_HTML\VirtualDirectory\splash.jpg

Then you can use a URL like this to access it:

    http://domain.com/Geocortex/Essentials/Default/REST/sites/LA_County/viewers/LA_County_HTML/virtualdirectory/splash.jpg

    I hope this helps

    Carmen,

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I am glad to see there is another way of solving this task. However, I wanted to confirm the hyperlinking to a local file path has been working for us for years. While not covered in the documentation, I was able to configure with help from support.  The problem I was having was on a new server ( during testing - migrating to virtual server). I am glad to report hyperlinking is working on the new ( now live) GIS server . However, I've been playing with settings so much that I am not 100% sure it was a misspelled path or server settings or a combination of these two.

    Thanks again!
