Upload data error - shapetype not supported

Trying to upload a zipped shapefile but getting a generic error (unknown error has occurred). When I look at Fiddler it says something like "ShapeType -535744592 is not supported". Any idea what the issue is? The zip file is about 7.5 MB.

  Hi Rebecca, 

   

  I would try reprojecting the shapefile into the same projection as the viewer and see if that resolves the issue. The Upload Data tool does not handle different spatial projections well.

  That's ok for me but many of our users are not able to reproject data. Is this something that'll be resolved in upcoming versions?

  We do not have any plans as of right now to resolve the projection issue with uploading your own data. So I strongly suggest adding this to our Ideas Board here:

  Our developers monitor this board very closely so they will take these ideas into consideration when creating feature enhancements.
