Is it possible to track UserID in attribute editing and geometry editing?
Usually we track the UserID of an editor via workflow or a custom form for editing, but if we were to use the built in attribute editing and geometry editing in HTML5, is it possible to track the UserID automatically?

We dont want to do this in workflow. As I mentioned in my question we already do so in workflows but want to be able to track it automatically using the built in geometry/attribute editing in the HTML5 Viewer. 0 -
Hi Chris - yes this is possible, but only with particular secuirty / proxy setups. A lot has to do with how Esri support security and ensuring the security scheme you are using is 'Esri-compatible'. Support can give you the gory information but the gist is that these two configurations will accomplish this: - Windows authentication without proxies
- Hosted feature service in an Esri portal using Esri identities
Hope that brief info is helpful for you to pursue it further.0 -
Hi Chris,
I would also look into Esri's Editor Tracking tool to track feature edits if you want to use the built-in tools.
